Rightclick on a bookmark -> Properties doesn't work ?

Post by Georg »

Hi there,

I use the following version:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7b) Gecko/20040313 Firefox/0.8.0+ (scragz)

but the function rightclick -> Properties doesn't work. So i have to open the bookmark manager. Is that normal or what can I do ?

it's a known bug in the recent builds. I don't know if there's anything you can do about it

There's a patch for the problem. Some builders have applied the patch to their builds. See http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=234116 to fix it in your own installation and to ask the builder to put it into their builds until the fix is checked in.

It was fixed for like three days a month or two back.

I just keep applying the patch until I'm told for sure that it's been fixed. I think that I saw it on the Official Build post that says what's broken and what's fixed and this was still broken last I checked.

yup. I found that it's not a huge feat to apply the match manually to an affected browser.jar if the bug annoys you (as it did me). Winzip works well for this. But as has been mentioned, some contributors are already adding the patch to their more recent builds

It seems that the problem doesn't appear with any theme. Is this possible ?
