Mysterious line at the top of mozconfig...

Post by MonkeeSage »

I always see people have this line at the top of their mozconfig file:

. $topsrcdir/browser/config/mozconfig

...why?

I've never put that in my mozconfig files, and have had no troubles building...so I'm wondering what purpose does it serve? Is it setting "." (CWD) to "$topsrcdir/browser/config/mozconfig" or something?

This is an option to use official build options, in order to be sure you'll get a working ffox at the end of the build process ;o)

I always thought of it as including the mozconfig at "$topsrcdir/browser/config/mozconfig", in addition to your options.

You're right. It does this.

It does, and you definitely should be using that line.
