Does anyone know wether there's a bug about this:
In the Bookmarks Menu, one isn't able to drag items into the "special" Bookmarks Toolbar Folder, which is confusing imho.
Thank you. Have a nice day.

With Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 (which is marked as compatible with 3.0pre), some of the flash content is still missing for me (even with ad blocking disabled---it is not a blocking rule that does this). This only happens on some pages, e.g. the flash video player is missing from this page.

Is this a known problem? I really hope that this will get fixed (either on the Fx side or on the Adblock side)

I am getting the same thing. Minefield wants to load a plugin, but it doesn't exist.

Just for reference, this has been filed as bug 430723.

Possibly caused by patch for Bug 429020?

Last message I got from Grisoft is that the Linkscanner extension is currently not compatible with FF3, it is only for FF2. They are working on making it compatible and should have it available by the time FF3 is released. I use AVG8.0 (the paid version).

my problem is that I can't even disable it. it says it's not compatible, argh, time to clean up house, thanks.
That is odd, when I installed AVG8 it did not put the extension into my Minefield and it has never shown up in the list of extensions or plugins. I emailed Grisoft's tech support about the plugin and the info they sent me is what I wrote in the previous post.

EDIT: would you perhaps be referring to the toolbar? I didn't install the toolbar that comes with AVG8 since I don't like toolbars from other apps cluttering up my browser. The toolbar will install on Minefield but it has not been tested and could pose compatibility issues (according to Grisoft tech support).

Yes, my point was that this is caused by Adblock Plus. Could you please try it with a new profile, and only Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 installed? Also note that the problem is not present with Firefox 2 and the same Adblock Plus version.

It's not working for me and I don't have Adblock. I also disabled NoScript and still no go.

ok, just installing Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 and using it without any filter(sets) is sufficent triggering the issue.
it does not help disabling filtering within the Adblock Plus options
it does help disabling Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 in EM.

with enabled Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 (enabled/disabled filtering) and loading above site the only error in the console i get is

Code: Select all

Error: Permission denied to call method Location.toString

i do not get that error with Adblock Plus 0.7.5.4 disabled in EM
maybe someone should contact the extension's author.

ltsnow: That's strange ... It works for me if Adblock Plus is not installed (or disabled from the Add-Ons manager). But with a fresh installation of Adblock (on a new profile), the flash video player is simply missing from the page. There is nothing in its place, the element is just missing (even though no filters have been added to Adblock, and ad blocking has been disabled).

EDIT:

xtc4uall: Thanks for testing this. I wrote the above post before seeing your reply.

I'll report a bug if this isn't already reported, since it is a significant website.
