Which Build?

Post by cotwom »

I'm new at downloading nightlies and am new to FF. I've tried search but I can't find the proper answers.

1. How do I know which nightly I need? I'm using AMD XP 1800+, WinXP SP1, FF 0.8

2. I've already backed up my profile, once I download said ZIP, how do I implement/install to FF?

Again I did try to find this on my own, but I wasn't sure of the posts I read. (I.E. I guess I would like a slightly more detailed info.) I really would like to try the nightlies, and if this post is redundant just direct me to the appropriate threads.

Thank you! [-o<

1) you can use the standard nightly builds: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/ ... est-trunk/
or use optimized builds, i dont kno what is best for an AMD, since i have an intel

2) backup your profile, disable all the extensions in firebird, then remove firebird install firefox. copy over all important stuff from your profile to the new ly created profile by firefox and then enable your extensions again in firefox.
