Themes...

Post by Santinelli »

Hey folks -

Just wondering if anyone got Themes to work yet? Latest build, the 16th is what I've tried and it's not working... (Windows2k version).

Thanks,

Steve

Once you install the theme, you have to go to the options panel and select it.

Oh, sorry, I guess I wasn't specific enough... It is not showing up in the options either...

To be even more specific...

Ok, to get more into this...

Win2k.

I'm trying to install the Orbit Blue theme. From Options, I choose Get More Themes. Brings up new window.

Choose Orbit Blue Theme.

Tell it to install and use this theme.

It loads it and puts it in my profile diectory (Documents and Settings/me/phoenix//etc...)

I go back to Options, Themes, and it is not listed.

Which theme and where did you get it from?

Thought I made that clear in the last post...

BUT... I think it might be THEME specific. I was able to load the Orbit 4 theme, without a problem, and it is a JAR file. The Orbit BLUE file is a XPI file.

Santinelli,

Read this thread, page 3, my last post.

PS: It could be just Alan and me, but I can't read in any of your posts where you got the theme....

Just an fyi - I stated earlier that I got it from Clicking on Get New Themes, which, implies that I got it from wherever Phoenix Points me...

That would be : http://texturizer.net/phoenix/themes.html

FYI - I tried installing the Themer guy, but it didn't seem to do the trick... I know when I had done that previously, it HAD worked, but doesn't seem to with this release... More to come... :)

That's ok... Really... I'd just really like to get the Orbit blue theme again... I really liked it. I'm LIVING :) with the Orbit theme now... Just something about that blue one... I should probably check out the creator's site and see if there were any changes added that would make it work with Phoenix better...

FYI - I have pretty much completely moved to Phoenix. Hate IE. And that is from a diehard MS and VMS and Unix guy... :)

Thanks to RAF!!!

I was not aware that you needed to do a File... Open file... And choose the .xpi file to upload and install this Theme.

The theme is now installed and working great! Thanks!
