Funky Menus

Post by SchneiDOGG »

I've noticed this in every Mozilla Build ... any ideas on why the menus are all funky?

Probably either wrong css or wrong tags
Hard to tell if you keep the page away from others (secured) to have a look at the sourcecode

Yeah, I know ...

Has anyone else experienced something like this?
I think Peter(6) is right ... probably not Mozilla's fault ... just wondering

I've seen something like it in some internal company websites (that I create). The CSS and HTML are valid...

I can see that sometimes when the page loads, select elements (drop-down menus) are sometimes drawn as wide as the widest option (plus some for the handle), but sometimes are drawn about 75% to 100% wider than that.

I can reload the page and sometimes it draws with select boxes the "correct" smaller width and sometimes draws them wider. It's a crapshoot as to which I'll get each time I load a page.

I'm currently running:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.7) Gecko/20040611 Firefox/0.8.0+

But I've seen it for the past week at least (didn't notice before then) and I will need to check later today to see if I get it on Linux also.

Examples:
Correct rendering:

Incorrect (gets drawn most of the time):
