Less Vertical White-Space in 51.0.1

Post by HubriSonics »

My website is formatted with CSS. With Firefox 51.0.1, my website has lost some of its vertical white-space. My CSS values for vertical white-space are set in "ex."

Earlier versions of Firefox displayed more vertical white-space than Internet Explorer 9. However, Firefox 51.0.1 renders pages with the same amount of vertical white-space as Internet Explorer 9.

Is this a bug, or is it a feature? Is this about a change in the way that vertical margins between block elements are collapsed?

Your site looks fine to me ... but I have nothing to compare it to. I also tested in the latest Firefox ESR and it looked the same as in here...

So, you may have to either detail out the diff (before/after) ... or see if you can post a screen-shot of before and after... or at least post a screen-shot of what you are seeing now.
See: Posting_a_screenshot_on_the_forum.
Posting a screenshot on the forum - MozillaZine Knowledge Base
Use a compressed image format like .png or .jpg and please do not post large images that break the forum layout, use thumbnails instead or only post a link.
If you need a place to host a screenshot... Note the "Uploading for general use" section of the document.

Looks good to me also. I'm on Vista Ultimate, Win32, Firefox ESR 52.2.1 32 bit. Your menus are nicely centered.

All the "Top of page" take you to here rather than the top-of-page: http://hubrisonics.com/design/web-typography/
Is that what you want? Might not be done yet.
I often take a long windy road to my destination. Upon arrival, I wonder how I missed the shortcut.
