AMO is a joke anyway has been for a long time all it is mainly about now is shonky toolbars and extensions with built in spyware
What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

Well, but if you go to the Add-Ons manager and then in the Get Add-ons tab or use the search field (which is probably what most users do), AMO is all you get. Thus, it either needs to be preserved or a replacement found if and when Firefox switches to their Marketplace site, unless they decide to cover non-Firefox extensions as well.

Not much new from today's status meetings. Apparently negotiations get rolling how to accommodate TB and SM add-ons, https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird/St ... tion_Items
