Fetching a single file or folder with Tortoise CVS

Post by gids »

After my previous struggle with Patch Maker (see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=269683) I'm having a go with Tortoise CVS, however, I can only get it to fetch a whole heap of stuff I don't want

Let's say I want to fetch toolkit/components/help/helpOnHelp/locale/en-US/glossary.xhtml how would I go about doing that? At the moment I seem to be fetching everything in cvsroot instead. Using this approach how could I make a patch including 2 or more files?

See the screenshot of my tortoiseCVS setup:

I'm wondering the exact same thing. I've also used PatchMaker in the past to make simple chrome/theme patches, and i'm trying to figure out how to do the same using CVS. But i don't want to bother with the entire source code, just the couple of small CSS files i need to tweak. Any progress with this, gids?

Yup, managed to sort this out thanks to the fine folks on the TortoiseCVS mailing list, in the Module box just type the path of what you want e.g. mozilla/toolkit/locales/en-US/chrome/mozapps/help
