I have downloaded the firefox source code from mozilla-central repository. I am a C++ programmer. I want to write some functions in the firefox code, so that my Extension can call them. So in which file I have to write the functions to expose to the extension ?

The functions make the graphical changes suggested by the Extension - like underline the errors, display the Optional Corrections in the context menu etc. I am new to the LowLevel Design of Firefox. So please suggest.

I am not entirely certain what you are trying to achieve here. Were would the "graphical changes" suggestions come from? Also, unless you are developing something for a specific company, requiring your version of Firefox to use the extension does not make much sense.
