IMAP back to POP3

IMAP back to POP3
I am currently using IMAP and want to go back to POP3 due to Comcast not retaining my deleted messages as long as I want to keep them. Does anyone have the instructions for the steps I need to take to get this done?? Comcast was absolutely no help
