HI, This has probably been covered a hundred times but, does the junk mail button do anything other than put a small icon beside the subject in the inbox? I would like to have all my junk mail disappaer before even seeing it. Is this possible?

By marking a message as "spam" you train a filter which gradually learns to separate your regular mail from your spam. There is also an option to automatically move mail recognized as spam to the junk mail folder, but I wouldn't use it from the very beginning, or at least check regularly for false positives.
