Flickering preview window

Whenever I access a particular folder, one of many such folders in my IMAP structure, the message preview window (bottom right) flickers at high speed. It looks like it's flickering between at least two views of the same message. Doesn't matter which message I select, the same flickering occurs. What is even stranger is that if I double any message a Mail & Newsgroups window pops up instead of the expected message window. Anyone else experiencing this, or similar?

Yes I too have seen this behavior when using IMAP folders.
I don't know what caused it though. The recent builds don't seem to do that for me.

I saw this happening also with Mozilla 1.3 and 1.4. The solution is simple: move the slider that separates the message list from preview part a little up or down.
