I run Thunderbird 38.2.0 on laptop and desktop and previously I have used Thunderbird Message Filter Import/Export to sync my filters, but that no longer works. I have also manually copied the file across in the past but just tried that and it does not work. I am running under Mint 17 on desktop and Mint 17.2 on laptop.
How can I copy the filters across?
Thanks
Mick

Re: Sync Filters between Macines
Copying the filter files should work but that requires that the same accounts exist on both the source and target machines and that the same folder names are in use in the accounts involved.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Synchronizing ... _computers might be useful as you'd probably also like to keep the address books in synch.

Re: Sync Filters between Macines
Thanks for the replies.
I really don't understand what has happened, I had tried copying the file across and I got an error message when starting TB, but I have just tried again in order to post more detailed info and it has worked fine. I can only assume it was operator error (that's me!).
Thanks for your help anyway.
