TB 38.7.2.5936

I liked the old ESR style release method. Did not like it when my 38 version went to version 45, so restored from backup and turned off auto update. Any way to continue to use the 38 line?

Thunderbird Releases have been updated in ESR fashion for a while now. Thunderbird 45 will get 45.x.0 updates just like Tb 38.x.0 did as Tb 45.1.0 will be the next Release. If the old Thunderbird 38 branch gets another update then the 38.8.0 will likely be last.

To be more specific, the current release method is essentially the "old ESR style release method", which started in version 10 circa 2012.

Thanks, look forward to 38.8, and will think about the 45 line later on.

Thanks, will wait a bit for 45... happy TB is not on the fast track method, no matter what they call their releases now.
