crazy email

Post by coolmanoh »

I have been getting some weird email--the latest one has Subject: "Look for affordable cremation plans of burial insurance."
The header has this for Reply To: "ReplayEmail@ntli.wbtoolhouse.com".
Following Received is:

"from inbound.mail.protection.outlook.com (207.46.163.120) by BY1PR17CA0015.outlook.office365.com (10.162.18.153) with Microsoft SMTP Server (TLS) id 15.1.528.16 via Frontend"

The weird part is that the body of the text is a single column of words--Example:

maltrato
divergence
polizia
2386
treadmill
dufour
junte
sinfonia
8426
53227
prevagen
teki
headerheight
ancona
spalding
impresionante
consola
1383
uclick
koeln

What is this? Has anyone else gotten anything like this? I've received about half a dozen of these so far.

It would seem to be spam. If there was any attachment or link in that message you should definitely not click on or follow it.

Why not just set up filter (or filters) to move such things to the Junk folder? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Filters_%28Thunderbird%29

A point of interest is to take the domain name from the email address and put it into your browser.
In this case, it doesn't seem to be related to cremation services.
Many times it goes nowhere.
And as Dan said, never open any links or attachments.
