Anything going on with Thunderbird Interface?

Post by Cykli »

Hey everyone! First post :)
Since Thunderbird is supported exclusively by Mozilla community, I’m a bit concerned about the future of its visual side. I tried to get some info from community itself, but they couldn’t tell me if there is any update on design planned. I love using Thunderbird user, but its current look & feel seems quite outdated and became to be a little bit behind competition… So, do you have any thoughts or news no this subject?

The only thing I like about those mockups is the dark background for the Folder Pane.

It would also be nice if they had mockups for Linux and Mac.
Linux Desktop - AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 455 3.3GHz | 8.0GB RAM | GeForce GT 630
Windows Notebook - AMD A8 7410 2.2GHz | 6.0GB RAM | AMD Radeon R5

The ugly default theme of the Mac version was the reason why I joined this forum years ago ;)
Since that day I've been restyling my UI with userChrome...
