How do I change the outgoing email address based on a folder

I use Thunderbird with several email accounts. I have an alias with my Outlook account. With aliases, Outlook puts all email in the main inbox. I have a filter on to move all messages to the alias to a separate folder. I want to set it up so that Thunderbird always uses that email as the outgoing email when I respond to messages to that alias in that folder (I know it's possible to use the alias as an outgoing email because it already works in Thunderbird. I just want it to know automatically). is this possible? Thanks.
