browser in a tab?

Post by sungod3k »

Hi,

im using some productivity apps like trello or google keep. Google keep has a nice thunderbird app that gives me the complete web interface in a tab, so I tried the same with trello or any website for that matter.

However getting a browser in a tab is harder than expected. Thunderbrowse doesnt let you log in into anything and web app tabs works with all pages execept with trello where I cant get past the log in because the site doesnt load.

I read on the thunderbrowse info page that itcould have to do with cookies being disabled or is there another requirement that the internal browser cant fulfill but it required for a log in?

Any ideas apreciated
Cheers

No idea. See if the FAQ at http://thunderbrowse.com/press.php helps. You could try setting network.cookie.alwaysAcceptSessionCookies true (it defaults to false) using the config editor. Or see http://kb.mozillazine.org/RSS_cookies_-_Thunderbird

However, if you just want to run some web app (rather than browse) try the ThunderTabs add-on.

Thanks for your reply. I turned network.cookie.alwaysAcceptSessionCookies on but nothing changed. I also tested thunder tabs but it behaves the same.

I installed ThunderTabs and was able to login to http://www.fastmail.fm (my main email provider), including checking "stay logged in".

network.cookie.cookieBehavior is set to 1. Try setting that.
network.cookie.prefsMigrated is true, pref.privacy.disable_button.cookie_exceptions is false, pref.privacy.disable_button.view_cookies is false. I don't think they matter. The rest of the cookie settings have default values.
