The Qualcomm team turned the Eudora source code over to the Thunderbird team, the Thunderbird team is open source, so where is that original Eudora source code?
Second question, it has been 11 years. WHERE IS A WORKING & UPDATED EUDORA?

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Eudora
Eudora OSE quickly died because the few core features it added had already been added to Thunderbird, it did a poor job of appealing to Eudora fans, and there was nobody left interested in maintaining it after the initial release. Basically it was Eudora in name only. Qualcomm closing the Eudora forums afterwards didn't help. Eudora OSE is based on Thunderbird 3.0.4 source code which is ancient. The Penelope extension (for Thunderbird) isn't even in Mozilla add-ons anymore. They're still on https://wiki.mozilla.org/Penelope_Extensions but its not clear whether they will work with a recent version of Thunderbird..

Re: Where is Eudora now?
To qualify further, the Qualcomm efforts were welcomed but as far as I know there was never any intention of "Thunderbird team" maintaining OSE.rjh427 wrote:The Qualcomm team turned the Eudora source code over to the Thunderbird team
OSE should have become a self sustaining community, which never happened. The intentions were great and it was a noble start, but the execution failed.
