I have some IMAP accounts that contain various folders and subfolders.
Now I need to move some folders of these accounts from the ISP server to local, maybe NAS, keeping the folder tree.
These folders contain old messages that I need to keep, and when you copy, no synchronization with the server is needed. In fact, on the server they will be erased to free up space.
The "Archive" function is convenient but I would lose the folder tree.
Can you suggest some system?
Thank you!

Re: Move message folders from IMAP to local
Recreate the folder tree under Local Folders in Thunderbird. Then copy (not move) messages from the IMAP folder to the corresponding new sub-folder of Local Folders.

Thanks a lot DanRalsch! I wanted to avoid recreating hundreds of folders/subfolders.
Too bad that there is no automated system.

Re: Move message folders from IMAP to local
Well, there are other ways to do this but they involve moving folders/messages and raise the risk of losing data if there is a glitch in the connection to the server or if that server times out due to moving large numbers of messages.
