Blank Desktop filled?

Post by Grumpus »

The normally blank section of the desktop is now cluttered with all sorts of links and items
normally located in the menus. At least I remember there was a blank area at one time.
Tried to find some way to restore the emptiness but it doesn't appear to be easily found.
Any ideas.

My computer desktop is still blank with no applications open on Fedora.

Are you referring to the Account Hub when an account is selected in the Folder pane?

Welcome to version 78. About time Ubuntu caught up with the rest of the world. =D>

Opening Thunderbird - with 68 there were three headings in the space to the right of the accounts panel. Emails Accounts and Features with a few sub links.
Usually emails are listed or opened in this area when called from the server, if not loading just the headers. Classic layout. No automatic attachments view.
Now it seems it's been tripled with stuff that's on the menu bars or tool bars. Seems a bit much, overdone.
Not the account hub. Account folders on left, menu bars above split space to the right unless filled with the main titles and sublinks for various actions
Thanks for the info
P.S: 78's been available but only through Snap or Flatpak - it's nice they put it in the repositories again.
