I have been using MAPI to generate emails from Thunderbird using a VB program. Lately MAPI does not seem to be recognized by Win10.
I use MSOUTL.OLB to communicate with Outlook now, so I'm wondering, since MAPI will not work anymore, is there a .dll or some method to automate Thunderbird.
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question. So if it's not maybe I can be directed to a better place.
Thank you.

See http://kb.mozillazine.org/MAPI_Support
There is built-in support for SimpleMAPI, though it depends upon Thunderbird being able to set the appropriate registry keys and being the default email client. Check that Thunderbird is configured to check that it is the default email client on startup.
