I have been using Thunderbird for quite some time.
Today, when starting Thunderbird, I got the initial setup window - asking for existing e-mail address (name, email, password). I cannot seem to remember having entered a password at all, initially...
The welcome window shows version 78.14.0.
Does anyone have tips on how I can get to my mail again? Do I really need to reconfigure everything? Why?
Thanks

Re: Get setup window when starting Thunderbird
You had to because Thunderbird must submit a valid password to the server when trying to access your messages and it's only the user who can initially provide that password.I cannot seem to remember having entered a password at all, initially.
It sounds as through something has happened to a file that tells Thunderbird where to find your profile. See this article for possible solutions http://kb.mozillazine.org/Recovering_a_ ... isappeared
