attaching a document to a calendar

Post by fibrolan »

Good Afternoon !

I would like to be able to setup a calendar appointment and attach a scanned document to it for reference when the appointment date comes around for reference. Is this possible ?

Interesting.

I was always looking for a way to use an image to represent a calendar. For example, a pumpkin for Halloween, or a turkey for Thanksgiving.

Files can be attached to events in local calendars by using this format for the URL:

file:///C:/Users/username/Documents/photo.jpg

Thanks for the reply. What about if I use Google calendar, so it syncs with my phone ? I have no idea on how to sync my local calendar with my Google calendar. Is this possible ?

You can add a Google calendar from File/New/Calendar, On the Network, enter your gmail address. That would add it as another calendar beside your local calendar.

I don't think attachments can be added to network calendars with the file:/// syntax, but adding a web-hosted file might work, e.g. https://www.example.org/myfiles/document.docx
