Why would the Thunderbird team take away the ability for users to tweak/modify the Calendar to their liking using Chrome.css? What's the logic behind this decision? Was using Chrome.css detrimental in any way? Did taking away the ability to use Chrome.css improve matters in any way?
I would think, if nothing else, the tweaks and modifications to the Calendar derived from Chrome.css was helpful to developers for developing new add-ons. I would also think that it would be helpful to the Tb developers when working on and considering new changes to enhance the Calendar.
I would love to know why the ability to use Chrome.css with the Calendar was pulled...

Could it be possible that code changes like names of things in your file have been made that you need to find and fix?
I think the place for that would be checking Searchfox.
Good luck!

The devs simplified the code causing a css tweak to fail.

Maybe if the Calendar Tweaks addon was not discontinued, then the devs would not have simplified the code.

Man, I sure miss that Calendar Tweaks add-on! Being able to swap the event's box color from the calendar color to the category color made the calendar so much better in my opinion.
If the Tb developers would just make the calendar's Multiweek view and Month view the same as the Week view's increased event size (with 1px vertical spacing between events) it would really help. Doing this would also increase the size of the category color on the tip end of the event box, making it much easier to quickly locate a particular event on a crowded calendar view.

Re: Why would the Tb team take away Chrome.css ability?
It looks like the Tb Calendar can be modified by adding the Lighting Calendar Tabs add-on, but I guess that's much different from modifying the calendar by editing attributes with Chrome.css.

Are there any calendar attributes at all (capable of being edited with Chrome.css) remaining in Tb91 that have not been pulled by the Tb development team?

See morat's post at http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14850813 for how to get DOM information.
