The answer is maybe depending on the circumstances.

For example, POP or IMAP? New profile or copy of profile from one to the other? Messages left on the server or downloaded to computer and deleted from server?

You can move profiles between Windows, Linux and OSX "as is". Settings that describe a file/directory have both a relative (specify a location relative to the top of the current profile directory) and absolute (fully specify the path) version. Thunderbird always tries to use the relative version of a setting first which is why a reference to drive C: under Windows doesn't cause a problem under Linux or OSX. That's why you can share a profile on a PC that dual boots Windows and Linux.

The simplest scenario is if all of your email accounts use IMAP since then you don't need to migrate your mail. You can configure remote address books and synch local address books with them using CardDAV. That eliminates the need to migrate your address books. You can configure remote calendars and synch them with your local calendar using CardDAV (or an add-on). Another thing you wouldn't need to migrate.

It would help if you briefly describe your configuration. Version 102 has support for exporting/importing a profile as a .zip file which can make it easier to migrate a profile without having to deal with profiles.ini etc..

The project plans on adding support for FirefoxSync to Thunderbird (renaming it to MozillaSync last I heard), mainly to make it easier to migrate profiles from a desktop to a smartphone when Thunderbird for Android is formally available. That would make it even easier to share a profile with Windows and OSX. There are a few things that won't get shared such as the optional userChrome.css file because you can't assume the same screen size but AFAIK all of your data and settings will be.
