Password box highlight missing Linux (solved)

When opening Thunderbird 102.2.2 (64) the first password input shows the blue line highlight in the box showing focus,
but the second account box is not highlighted. Both were previously highlighted in turn.
The second box must be hit with the mouse to focus.

Edit: it appears the focus does not show when a message from the first account accessed is listed.
If no email in the first account the second account highlights automatically for the password.
