.ics import fails - There are no importable items in this fi

Post by pokeefe0001 »

I received an .ics file from my dentist. It looks OK to me but TB says:
Cannot import from C:\Users\Patrick\Documents\appointment.ics. There are no importable items in this file.

The contents of the file is

Code: Select all

BEGIN:VCALENDAR
VERSION:2.0

SUMMARY:Dental appointment
DESCRIPTION:Dental appointment at Wedgwood Dental Center.\nIf you have any questions, please call us at 206-525-9110

Can anybody spot the problem? I can obviously add this the my calendar manually, but I'd like to find the problem and notify either my dentist or TB support.

I was able to import that *.ics file into a new calendar using Thunderbird 102.4.0.

Why are you using version 78? I'd expect you to either stick with version 60.* (if you have favorite XUL/XPCOM based add-ons that you're not willing to give up), or use either 91.* or 102.*.
