Change useragent when use OAuth2

Post by forumforeign »

Hello.
I want to connect mailbox from office365 but, when I type OAuth2 credentials I see a windows "request approval" which tells "www.thunderbird.net" is not allow to access. I can't change setting from that side, but, if I change a useragent from Thunderbird side, like an "outlook" it will be passed.

Code: Select all

general.useragent.override
doesn't influence to this OAuth2 window. I also restarted thunderbird.

Where have you entered www.thunderbird.net as that should not be a value involved in setting up an account in Thunderbird.
What is the full text of that "request approval" message?

Without posting your full email address, what settings do you have under menu path Tools->Account Settings Server Settings:
Server name:
Port # :
User name : (Is it your full name or just the bit before the @ symbol)
Connection Security:
Authentication Method:

I haven't entered a "www.thunderbird.net". It's how microsoft oAuth application detected my mail client (thunderbird). I have window, like this https://s3.amazonaws.com/helpjuice-stat ... .23+PM.png (but instead app.reclients.com i see a http://www.thunderbird.net).
My "Account Settings Server Settings" doesn't influent to this window.
