minotaur + phoenix ?

Post by erwan »

Just a dumb question...

If I load Minautor + Phoenix, will I have some code loaded twice ? Say, if Phoenix uses 70% memory compared to Mozilla and Minotaur 70%, will that mean that the combo will make 140% ?

Since neither Composer nor Chatzilla are included it is supposed to be lighter, but I know that Phoenix is not as light as it could be...

As far as I know, they'll use separate memory, so they'll require those 140% together. Well, hopefully Minotaur will require less memory than Phoenix in the end...

But as soon as both Phoenix and Minotaur starts to share the gecko runtime environment, the 140% memory usage will decrease to less than 100%.

Ahh that sounds great. Just what I needed to hear. I was worried about that.
