Forgetting a password

Post by MediumDave »

If I had Thunderbird remember the password for a mail account, is there any way to get it to stop remembering, and always ask me instead? I can't find a UI for this, but I was thinking I could edit some file instead.

Just stumbled over the password manager - that might help you...

Under Tools, select the JavaScript Console (I'm _not_ kidding you)...
Under Tools in the JavaScript Console, select Password Managers >> Manage Stored Passwords

Et voilá!

Obviously not the best of locations, but for now it will do... :-)

Shutdown Thunderbird, get into your profile, and edit the *.s file.
The entries in the file are separated by a line containing just one fullstop /^\.$/
