well ... i think i was kicked off when they uploaded todays linux build. i think. if they block access to all of the nightlies while uploading then that would make sense, especially since i was only off for a second that time.

let's see.... ok, i think i get it. i've always used the http://ftp for firebird and the ftp for thunderbird, so if the http is less likely to go off then that would explain why it always looked to me like the problem was with the thunderbird server.

yep, right now i can't access either of the ftp's but i can access the http for firebird nightlies.

sorry for making you fret, mscott. :)

Three issues

Post by edmz »

1. The panes used to have (IIRC) an image in the portion of the pane that when it gets clicked it "minimizes" it.
2. After switching to Thunderbird, now I have the recurring problem of getting a dialog with the following error: "The folder is being processed. Please wait until process is complete to get messages". The dialog must be ok'd so that it closes, which makes mail not arrive until the dialog is dismissed. After that happening, subsequent fetches will fail with the same dialog. I must restart thunderbird so that it fetches mail correctly again.
3. Mail fetching is considerably slower than with Mozilla Mail.
