Hello, has this been fixed for 2.0.8? If so then I have a different issue.

Here is expanded:

and compacted:

There's almost no difference.

Sorry for the colouring... screenshot tool did that.

You need to find a more public image host (like imgur, tinypic, imageshack to name a few examples) as not everybody has an account on https://login.ubuntu.com/ in order to view the images. Also if the image is really wide then use the thumbnail link or just a link.

I made the images public. Did you have to login?

What do you mean 'the thumbnail link or just a link'? I did only put a link in, via the url bbcode tag. I'm not familiar with this forum software.

howdy ottadini,

i also see a login screen when i try the links you posted. it looks like it tried an open-id login 1st, and then went to the ubuntu login.

howdy ottadini,

cool, dude! looks fine to me and i can see what you are having problems with.

i do not see the extra vertical space that you show when the TO line is merged with the FROM line [compact mode]. my specs ...
os = win7x32
tb = 17.0.8
ch = 2.0.8

so it may be that it is fixed in 2.0.8 but i never noticed the problem in earlier versions, so i can't tell.

take care,

Thanks Lee,

I'm on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit, tb 17.x. So perhaps it's something to do with the platform.

howdy

you are quite welcome! glad to kinda-sorta help ... [*grin*]

the development site [mozdev] for this extension reports "Last Update Mon, 26 Aug 2013 21:51:37 +0000" so i suspect the developer is still paying attention to both it and this thread.

you also might want to take a look into different themes. both at the operating system level and in tbird. each has the potential to cause what you are seeing.

take care,
lee

I cannot reproduce it. What is your Thunderbird version/operating system? Any other addons (could you disable them and test if the problem persists)? Does the problem go away if you switch between different folders? Or if you open a new 3pane window (the standard thunderbird window; just start thunderbird a second time from an icon or the command line, while one instance is already runnging)?

The Archive button is missing from the message header--in the Message pane. :|
I had v2.0.7, which did show the Archive button. Then, with v2.0.8 it's gone; although, I did re-install v2.0.7, but still no Archive button.
How do I get it back? :cry: --- I use it all the time

You can customize the toolbar buttons by right clicking the mouse over the buttons, then choose customize. Then you can drag and drop the buttons from/to the customization dialog. In the dialog there should be the archive button.

Well, that's the problem--there's no longer an Archive button to drag. And, the drag/drop method does nothing whatsoever with any of the buttons! So when I attempt remove (drag) the Junk button (the little flame) into the Customize window, nothing happens--it just sits there. I've tried this with the TB v2.0.7 up to the current version, but nothing changes. I'll eventually get used to this; but it is annoying.

This obviously should not be the case. Can you please check the error console (Tools->Error Console) for error messages. Which version of Thunderbird do you use? Any other addon? Please try to reproduce the bug with some/all other addons disabled. What happens if you press the reset to default button in the customization dialog? Can you provide a screenshot showing thunderbird + customization dialog.

This is dumb, but how do I insert a screenshot here? I see the "IMG" option, but what does one do with it? Normally, there's an 'upload' button--I don't see one here.
