Is the updated version online/checked in? The link in your original post still seems to be pulling an old version. (I even cleared my cache!)

Usually takes an hour or so for updates to show up on the server. Patience! =)

A minor issue Re: OS X version

Post by macrxnapa »

Release notes look very good.

One minor item for OS X:

Known issue:

The "About Mozilla Thunderbird..." meunitem need to be moved from the Help menu to the Mozilla Thunderbird menu.

I can't think of any other items to add at this point.

BTW: I tried to investigate this last night, both source code and documentation, but failed to find any info.

Ideas for where to look?

Thanks
Don

One starting point is to find out if Firebird puts it in the right spot on the Mac.

The xul file in question is mailWindowOverlay.xul you should see a help menu (search for help in that file). And then an about thunderbird menu item under that.

Search for a similar menu item in the firebird code base
http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/

and see where they put it on the mac.

Ok, two things I don't care for. Before when I'd extend the info bar in the preview pane, it'd lower into the pane where as now it extends that pane. Also, I don't like how it creates the attachments bar at the bottom. Can we have options to change these?

More graphics

Post by Vladam »

It would be very good-looking and attractive for users to show more graphics in the feature list page illustrating what is particular feature about and how does it look like.

Eclipse announcements can be of a good example:
Eclipse Project 3.0 milestone build M2.
