The "request receipt" does not work in Thunderbird

I just downloaded Thunderbird version 1.0 (20050105) for the MacOS. Return Receipts works fine in this version. However, it will not work if you send the email to yourself. Return Receipts only works if the recipient email address is different from the sender email address.

Which will kill most themes and extensions installed. Just for your information.

in that case the advice was meant to be "grab a latest branch build" i guess.
