#790475 [Core:Editor]-Spell checking broken [All]
The above core fix landed on all branches and needs testing.
Quote from mconley
The inline spellchecking code is pretty complex, and doesn't have much in the way of automated testing, so while I believe I've fixed the original problem, I can't guarantee I haven't introduced any new problems. The alternative is simply to keep having busted inline spellcheck. Backing out 590640 isn't really an option, and might be riskier than taking this patch.

#760126 [MailNews Core:Backend]-Reduce amount of preprocessing of content files - don't pre-process out license headers [All]

So, my Daily build claims to be version 19 alpha whatever. In light of the Thunderbird going into maintenance mode and features landing if the community gets involved announcement, is it worth my time and effort any more to keep up with the daily build, or would I be better off just installing Tb 17 release when it comes out in the next couple of weeks (month)?

Thanks.

If I click one of the menu choices from the app-menu (for instance App Menu -> Options), the menu stays open after the item has been clicked. In my example, as soon as I close the options dialog, the menu opens again. If I click New Message, the menu stays open after the new compose window has been opened.

Confirmed, please, can you file a bug?

It's good to see that you and you're family are okay. Sandy was an incredibly destructive storm.

Thanks for the concern guys.
Haven't had power here since monday noon.
May come back later on today.
Running a small generator, but fuel is a rare commodity due to no power for gas pumps.
No damage here from the high winds, and far enough away from the coast to avoid the flooding.
Still about a million folks without power.

Hopefully I'll be online longer later on tonight.

The right person got cc'd to the bug. Plus, they are hoping to land the new appmenu button in Tb 17, which is like three of four weeks away. So a bug like that needed to get fixed and fixed fast, otherwise the lose the appmenu button for at least one release.

I've extended this thread through the 6th.
Seems that we now have permanent power.
But there are other problems, like gasoline shortages due to power outages, and odd/even restrictions due to long lines.
