As posted in the RC1 thread. There is an RC1 linux build here:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/ ... 09-23-1.5/

still waiting for the RC2 respin.

GTK2 RC2 respin is now up:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/ ... 09-24-1.5/
Thunderbirds are Go!

Same here on RC1.
What's this button actually supposed to do?

Uhm, I see absolutely no different in padding between the 923 and 924 builds. Back to 918 for me

I have problems with "Space" characters. If I write the following in a msg:

Code: Select all

> $TEXT_TO_QUOTE
        ^

Tb actually sends this:

Code: Select all

> $TEXT_TO_QUOTE
         ^

(The ^ points to the O instead to the T.)

This Bug is very annoying to me! Is there maybe already a Bug filed? I guess this has something to do with "format=flowed".

/edit:/ Especially when quoting code/logs or s/t similar and I point with ^ to a single character which precisely matters, this bug is extremely annoying. :(

/edit2/: Sometimes I have another problem which may be related:

Out of

Code: Select all

> $TEXT_TO_QUOTE :)

Tb makes this:

Code: Select all

> $TEXT_TO_QUOTE
: )
^ (Where comes this space from?)

IIRC this happens in connection with the wrap text function. E.g. when 72 characters are allowed and the ) of the :) is 73rd character (IIRC!).

If you want a Pentium 3-0.3rc2 (gtk2-xft) for glibc 3.2.2 based distro (Mandrake 9.1 / RedHat 9 / Debian sid are reported to be ok with my build), try it :

10 Mb = http://frederic.bezies.free.fr/weblog/m ... 32.tar.bz2

PS : don't forget to look at http://frederic.bezies.free.fr/weblog/m ... -linux.txt before downloading it :)

Great Work.

Is there a reason that the padding of thunderbird and firebird are different? Firebirds padding appears to be smaller (using 0.6.1).

My inbox is still hanging like hell when I receive more than two mails...

I'm thinking of going back to 0.1 or 0.2 just to have this fixed, totally ruins the program

Same here on RC1.

I had the same problem when I first dragged the icon to the toolbar, but after a restart the button started working like it should! :) Do you know about this behaviour Scott?

I have been following the release candidates closely and love the progress to date. Well done chaps.

However, the latest build, when sending email via SMTP with no username/password, takes approximately 10seconds to complete. This is on the exact same machine/SMTPserver that RC1/previousRelease was running on, and it was instant. Something has changed.

- Get All Messages
- Offline Support

Both are not working for me, because of chrome-errors.

(The problems occur only in the german translation - in 2003-09-17 build occured no errors)

I had no problems with the linux-rc2 build.
I made an xpi-file ( Version 1.5) with Mozilla-translator. Installed it like an extension and restartet thunderbird using
"thunderbird -contentLocale de-DE -UILocale DE"
Had no problems with installing extensions.

I'll see about spinning a branch build tonight. My last one didn't work.

I won't be able to regularly spin builds for the next 6 weeks or so, but I am not the official build contributer :)

Yep, after adding File button to the toolbar, it starts working only after a restart.

I just opened <a href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=220372">bug 220372</a> in bugzilla for this. It happens only in Thunderbird, not mailnews.

Clicking OK when Editing an Address Book Entry, when the entry is a member of a Mailing List results in the following error in the JavaScript Console
Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED) [nsIAbCard.editCardToDatabase]" nsresult: "0x80004001 (NS_ERROR_NOT_IMPLEMENTED)" location: "JS frame :: chrome://messenger/content/addressbook/abCardOverlay.js :: EditCardOKButton :: line 153" data: no]

However, it works fine when editing someone who is not a member of a Mailing List.
