addon tbtracer

Post by share666 »

I have TB 28.0. WIN 8.1 x 64.

While playing around with the addon Tbtracer I apparently set some environment variables to turn on tracing. I have deleted the addon but it appears that the tracing feature is still on. Events are still being logged to a file call tbtrace.log. This file is located at C:\Users\NAME\AppData\Local\Temp\tbtrace.log. I am unable to delete this file as my antivirus program will not release it. I would like to figure out how to stop TB from even using this file and any others that I may have inadvertently created.

I suspect tbtracer is just a front end to the built-in logging, which uses the NSPR_LOG_MODULES and NSPR_LOG_FILE environmental variables. Find out what is setting them and clear them. Or re-install the add-on and use its preferences page to turn off tracing.
