I wonder when I'll be able to customize Thunderbird and put the options I use frequently on a toolbar like I can with Firefox.

I wonder if Thunderbird is going to use Shumway for Flash content.

IMO it makes sense for TB to go Servo if it aint gonna use webkit. there aint much you can do with an email client anyway & would be less maintenance also i would think

What's the story here? Servo isn't even ready for Firefox desktop yet...

Well, which part? According to viewtopic.php?p=13989371#p13989371 there is quite a bit of work to do before they are getting to this point, and it won't land for Firefox in a single piece either but incrementally, if I understand it correctly. The important thing to consider for the other applications like Thunderbird and SeaMonkey is obviously to take care that their needs are covered (which, given the "focus" of the Firefox devs on "their" application and the minimization of functionality to keep up with their competition is certainly not on top of their list).

Thus, no need to panic quite yet, but the intentions of Mozilla the Company with this project clearly need to be followed with care and the justified suspicion.

would it be best to make this Thread Daily Build Thread 2015-01-17 Through 2015-02-24 instead of Daily Build Thread 2015-01-17 Through 2015-02-17

if its once every 6 weeks when there's a release would make Joes Life a bit easier, that way he could do it all in 1 go. instead of him having to edit the post a week later to reflect the new releases

It's up to Joe what his preference is, I'd say. Aligning the thread with release cycles certainly makes sense.

it does, plus it's be less work for Joe to do if he did it on a Release Schedule basis

There are new release drivers for Thunderbird (two I've heard), so hopefully the releases will be a bit more on schedule towards the 38.x cycle.

According to today's discussion on #maildev, it appears that Thunderbird-Beta is failing tests and thus isn't ready for a release yet.
