Is there already a bug for e10s in MailNews Core? I can not find one. If there is really non, I will open one. But for such an elementary thing I would wonder myselfe if there isn't one already.

Isn't e10s mostly Core or Toolkit code anyway? What would be Thunderbird- or MailNews-specific issues (other than flipping a switch) to do in such a (meta) bug report which isn't inherited from those components?

The only bugs I found are related to packaging regressions, without any meta bug referenced. That's what I'd assume are the main causes for Thunderbird or SeaMonkey having to fix things, regressions from multi-threaded/processed operation or API changes in the core code.

I don't know. I've opened Bug 1135388 for activating the sandbox for TB on Mac OS X and André Reinald told me, that "e10s has not been ported to Thunderbird" and "there is much more work needed to bring sandboxing to Thunderbird". So, it seems to me, there is some code change in MailNews needed for e10s. I think its best I ask André Reinald...

Back by popular demand:
[*]#464973 [Thunderbird:Mail Window Front End]-"Expanded Columns" in the folder pane are no longer available to select columns for display for message total count and folder size [All]
You will probably have to reset your view options to get them back

Nice! I had to enable the Menu Bar to find the setting under View > Layout.

Merge day for the 38.0 cycle today (and its string freeze, including the new ESR branch from which the next Thunderbird releases will come!).

Bug 170270 - Enable search in multiple/all address books

This bug added an "All Address Books" type folder/column to the AB and also the Contacts sidebar.

Comment 149 - https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.c ... 70270#c149
This comment talks about not showing All Address Books in the Contacts sidebar.
> As, for contacts side bar, we intend to hide address book column permanently
> for all ABs
> except "All ABs" entry. So, I think we need a pref..

Like a said, it's way too large to be shown (ever) by default in the sidebar.

At this time, the Contacts sidebar does not remember the last selected address book when opening a new compose window.

Does anyone know if a follow up bug has been filed to remove All Address Books from the sidebar?
Remember last selected address book would also be acceptable. Current UI is/will be very annoying especially with multiple large address books.

Am I missing a pref somewhere that would already take care of this?

I opened a bug

earlybird 38.0a2.en-US.mac 1 March 2015
Mac Os 10.10.2

Normally, I go to "Earlybird" menu (top left) there is an item called preferences, one called "about" where I can see EB version and eventually be prompted to update if there is an update available.
Now I only get the option to quit.
I have the same on two Macs, laptop and desktop, (both 10.10.2) - safe mode doesn't help and I had to revert to 36.0. Anyone else with same problem?
