Location of 38.3.0 nightly

Post by tajkkj »

I'd like to test a nightly that has a fix for Bug 1196662. My understanding this should be in ESR 38.3.0. I've been trying to find that in the http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly path, but I don't see it there. Perhaps there is a naming convention I'm not aware of. I appreciate your help.

Thanks,
Tim

http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/comm-esr38/file/fcbf027771c2/mail/config/version.txt is still on "38.2.0" even though it has been released already. You should find the most recent (Sep 14) nightly build at http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird/nightly/2015-09-14-03-02-24-comm-esr38/ (thunderbird-38.2.0.en-US.win32.installer.exe).

Note that the fix will only be present if it has received branch approval and has been checked in. A quick search in the repository does not give any results for 1196662. However, looking at https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1197152#c70, that was actually a core fix which landed on mozilla-esr38, and only for the Thunderbird version branch, thus the issue described in the Thunderbird-specific bug may have been fixed by it.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, it's actually bug 1197152 that has the fix to 1196662. My understanding is this will be in ESR 38.3.0. From the schedule that should be released on Sep 22, and I was hoping to get a nightly before that to test. I've pulled an Earlybird yesterday (42.0a2 2015-09-16), and the fix does seem to be in that. When my device came out of hibernation, it automatically fetched new messages which was broken in 38.2.0 and reported in bug 1196662.

My answer might be too late for you. But if you are still looking (or will be looking in the future): https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org ... omm-esr38/.
