While the tree has been "technically" reopened, still a lot of failures to be resolved. Trunk nightlies were successful for Windows and Mac today, still broken for Linux (most recent build here is March 8).rsx11m wrote:comm-central remains closed due to a variety of bustages over the last 10 days, see https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/t ... ree-status for the full list (and yes, that's long...).

Interesting, 45.0 is indeed out, but which version of Lightning did it ship with?
I only see 4.7b3 offered on the AMO site, no 4.7.0 release yet...
Edit: Ok, there is a 08-Apr-2016 candidate build on the ftp site, probably that one then ahead of its release by the calendar team.

Even though it's available on the main web page, there has been no announcement for 45.0. full stop. So anything anyone sees is tentative, partially available infrastructure. Until we have our own infrastructure and until further notice, gone are the days when everything related to a release is available at precisely the same time.

Usually right, but https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ points to https://download.mozilla.org/?product=t ... lang=en-US already and release notes are posted at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbi ... easenotes/. I don't think anybody is ever waiting for a posting in the news before proceeding with an offered download (I agree that builds on the FTP site shouldn't be misrepresented as released).

I'm not saying don't download from those places - their presence does indicate it's OK. I'm just saying, their presence does not mean EVERYTHING related to a release is available or ready - for example (examples only) updates, lightning on AMO, etc.rsx11m wrote:Usually right, but https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/ points to https://download.mozilla.org/?product=t ... lang=en-US already and release notes are posted at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbi ... easenotes/. Meh, the update (45.0 installed over 38.7.2) killed my customized-strings.txt in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\chrome for the production installation (which is the only one where I'm using it). Anybody knows about this having been deprecated or moved?
@wsm: ok, I wasn't sure how to take the "full stop" comment.

Same here. Installed 45.0 in new folder. I tried a couple of stab-in-the-dark changes but nothing. Messenger.properties appears to be the same as it was in 38.*.rsx11m wrote:Meh, the update (45.0 installed over 38.7.2) killed my customized-strings.txt in C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\chrome for the production installation (which is the only one where I'm using it). If you find a solution please post.

For those of you thinking that the merges are still happening tomorrow, those have been moved by a week to April 25th (except for mozilla-beta > mozilla-release, which happened on Friday 15th already).

Merge day finally arrives!
comm-beta is a bit of a mess right now. Since 46b1 has been skipped and a 45.1b1 is prepared instead, there is a separate THUNDERBIRD451b1_2016042214_RELBRANCH mirroring what landed on comm-esr45, but those patches didn't land on the default branch (which would have been used for a 46b1 build). Expect them to be merged in from comm-aurora today (hopefully complete).
