Sorry for my tardiness in renewing this thread. Been busy. I will update the Beta links when we build 49.0b1 (there will be no beta 48 due to build config problems)

Congratulations Magnus!

Was reading this yesterday at tb-planning. Will this have any effect on TB, for example TB and p≡p?

AFAIK nothing has changed nothing has changed in the status of TB

There are build 1 candidates for TBird 49.0b1 for Linux and Mac, but none for Win32. Anything coming down the pipe?

Looks like everybody is busy fixing bug 1294260, fallout from core bug 1292463 which made all(?) warnings to be errors now (-Werror), obviously requiring those to be cleaned up in a batch. Jorg, aceman, and aleth are on it.

Actually, there are Windows nightly builds for today, only Mac and Linux are still busted.

The Treeherder-link for Earlybird Thunderbird 50.0a2 / Gecko 50.0 is wrong. It is pointing to a not existing page. The correct link should be: https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=comm-aurora

Cool! Will there be some advantages because of that?

It will still work once core support for the old cache implementation is removed. ;-)

I'm not actually sure what the difference is between the caches, I'd assume the new cache has a better performance. Anyway, everybody please watch out for regressions and "weird" behavior with IMAP or NNTP (beyond the already known bugs, I mean) and file bugs as necessary.

THUNDERBIRD_49_0b1_BUILD5 finally seems to have done the trick and solved the localization issue, release notes for a today's release are up at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbi ... easenotes/

Err, -Arch- that build has been out for a week, not really the hottest news any more. ;-)
Also, the Release Notes have a big Download link on the right-hand side.
