I can't see the "source/" directory listed anymore in either:
- https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird ... es/52.0b4/
- https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/thunderbird ... es/build1/
Where are they now?

I don't see green B's for Windows 7 and OSX 10.10 at https://treeherder.mozilla.org/#/jobs?repo=comm-central so perhaps they aren't going to package and upload the sources until the build problem is fixed. You could still get the sources using Mercurial.

It helps to look for a relevant bug report.
For example https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1342383

Sorry for lack of context. My post was more related to tansttafl post.wsmwk wrote:It helps to look for a relevant bug report.

But to address the question more directly "perhaps they aren't going to package and upload the sources until the build problem is fixed." the answer is yes. The sources are part of the build automation and they will not appear until the automation piece is fixed.
