Quick question - how do I build thunderbird.
if I follow https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... bird_build
and do ./mach build i only get firefox.
Must be easy answer - this is what I used to do in days past - does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

thanks!

I think you need to make some changes. See the "Compiling with M-C as top source directory" thread at http://lists.thunderbird.net/pipermail/ ... .html#1152

Terriic thanks - building now. One part that may not be clear to others, is after checking out comm-central - rename comm-central to comm (or change the .mozconfig to be comm-central/mail I would think).

best

Do you happen to know if there is a mach command to tar up the build for installation - there are soft links in the dist directory so would need to copy the actual files over to make a convenient tar file?

I tried that but get an error:

This is in the middle of packaging with successful finding other files? Then something failed during the build. Check if you can find the file at this position.

This thread isn't for build questions. You should do this in a better place.

Sorry about the wrong thread. No worries - will sort it out. In meantime the 4/30/2018 official build is now available in usual place, which is also good news.

It is there for me.

I found that I had to quit TB and restart it for the Dark theme to appear in the Appearance tab of the Add-ons Manager.

Forgot to mention that I had to enable the Light theme first, then quit and restart.

It's okay so far, won't look great until the content gets dark-mode'd as well though.
