I just installed the latest version of Thunderbird to my PC's. BIG mistake! - on my part.
I lost (due to incompatibility) several must-have extensions. (This happened to me several years ago and I forgot about the major inconvenience it was to get back to my "normal", acustom mode of operation.
So PLEASE give me the url of where I can download again my previous version 60.0.1 (I think?)

https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunder ... es/60.9.0/ I will let you decide between 32-bit or 64-bit.a.k.a. Djeau wrote:I just installed the latest version of Thunderbird to my PC's. BIG mistake! - on my part.

Be aware that Thunderbird now uses "Dedicated profiles per Install" like Firefox and if you reinstall version 60.9.0 you will have to start Thunderbird from the command line with the "thunderbird.exe -P --allow-downgrade" command.

Then be sure to disable updates in Options > Advanced > Updates.

Re: Need/Want my Last Version back!
My apologies but I do not understand. (I wish I had written down what version I had before updating.) I had problems before maybe a couple of years ago with the 64-bit version then backtracked to the 32-bit which has been working fine.WaltS48 wrote:https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/thunder ... es/60.9.0/ I will let you decide between 32-bit or 64-bit.a.k.a. I can do without a couple of the add-ons but NOT COMPACTHEADER (2-line) and PRINT PREVIEW.
Oddly enough, on my small-ish HP Notebook I lost ALL of the add-ons while on my HP Desktop I still have COMPACTHEADER, but lost the others.
Bottom line: I will check out the url for a recognizable (older) version but I need some reassurance that I can get the add-ons I need.
And as the only user of Thunderbird, I do not need nor have ever used Profiles.
Any further explanation would be most appreciated.
Thank you for your patience.

CompactHeader 3.0.0beta3 https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... actheader/ works with Thunderbird 68.xa.k.a. Djeau wrote:

Okay, my friend. I have found both the "Compactheader" and the "Print Preview". And and I ashamed... I just didn't look close enough.Eckard wrote:CompactHeader 3.0.0beta3 https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... actheader/ works with Thunderbird 68.xa.k.a. Djeau wrote:

Thanks for not laughing (too much) at me. Guess you can close out the thread now.
