Are you using this beta? I ask because in the Release Notes that you linked it no longer says " unresolved Mail header toolbar (Reply, Forward, Archive, Junk buttons) no longer configurable" Would you happen to know if that is true? That, for me, is an important problem. I have a elderly family user that is forever clicking on a 'wrong button' that I used to be able to remove.

the Mail being slow can be due to Network issues, did you check your isp's network outages

They are still no longer configurable in 80.0b2 and haven't been since the 69 beta version. You can follow along here Bug 1556261-Implement message header button customisation. Please follow the Bugzilla Etiquette.

@DN123ABC. If you use Thunderbird create a Feeds account and add https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/rss-log to it. Just copy and paste the link. Or you could bookmark https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/summary in your favorite browser and check it daily. I use the former for the Daily, Beta and releases.
