Irritation

Post by meditek »

My TB opens with my Junk folder. How do I persuade it to open with my Inbox?
Thank you.

Thunderbird should open with the folder that was open at last exit. If not, then there may be a problem with the session.json file.

The following addon allows you to choose the default startup folder.

Manually sort folders
http://addons.thunderbird.net/thunderbird/addon/15102

Under Options for that extension, click on the "Extra Settings" tab and select "Use a custom folder" and select the Inbox of the account you wish to see at start up.

Sort folders wouldn't load as it was unverified. Maybe it's because I am using 90.0b2?

I doubt the Manually Sort Folders addon supports Thunderbird 90.0b2. The developer only tested up to Thunderbird 87.0b1.

You can use the userChromeJS addon to select the folder at startup. (for advanced users only)

Not sure how I ended up with a beta because I've no inclination for testing. However, as the program is now in it's 89th iteration with no setup choice for the start folder it's pretty obvious their minds are obsessed with minutiae.
Would it be safe to overwrite 89 with 87?
Any way of exporting Tbird mail etc in an Outlook readable format?
Thanks

I don't know if the ImportExportTools NG addon works with Thunderbird 90.0b2.

It doesn't with mine, hence my desire to use the latest non-beta release.
Thanks

Why 87? It is a beta version. Versions 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89 and the current 90 are all beta versions.

The current release is 78.11.0.

My mistake 78 is the one I meant.
