snmp password for incoming mail
We have following issue: Thunderbird on win10 with mail connected to an IMAP server from "one.com" . In- and outgoing snmp server configured identical as requested from one.com. We want to be able to use password in the snmp server in order to access (read) incoming mail, but right now only the outgoing snmp server asks for password when we send a mail. One.com cannot help. Anybody out there who knows if this is possible at all? Regards Carl

Re: snmp password for incoming mail
SMTP servers are only involved when sending messages. To receive messages, the IMAP server is used. Try clearing any stored password for the IMAP server. Restart Thunderbird to ensure that the stored password is cleared from memory. The next time you "Get Mail" Thunderbird will ask for the password which you can enter and then check the box to remember the value.
